"Might For Right"
What is "Might for Right"? "Might for Right" is performed in many ways. "Might for Right" in the Medieval times was performed mainly by the Royal Family or the richer people of society. "Might for Right" is when someone with a lot of power and money protects the people that are on the more poor end of things. Sometimes they give up and sometimes the richer people will have to just overcome them and take control.
"Might for Right" also applies in the current day of society. This applies to what I would say, would be the bigger countries or groups protecting the smaller or less powerful allies of them. Like for an example in the act of war in the world, when the United States got involved with Kuwait over in the Middle East. This was when Iraq was threatening the Kuwaiti's with military tactics and bombings. Then, the United States decided to step in and help and protect the Kuwait's from being overcome by the Iraqi's. Relating this to the Medieval times, the United States was playing the role of the Royal Family or the richer personnel.
With the philosophy of "Might for Right". There are many opinions of whether it is right of not to do so. I agree in some ways and also disagree in other ways. I agree in the fact that people should stick up for the people that don't have the power to defend themselves in anyway such as military wise. I think that if asked for help then yes, it is ok for that country to come in help them out or whatever. Also, in another since countries or groups shouldn't go around just putting their noses into other peoples business and offering to help. That just adds to the problems that have already started or that have been going on. People should just stay out of things if it does not concern them in anyway.
