Abstract
The teams research and compilation of data implemented into the project describes, analyzes, and evaluates privacy issues that businesses face, as well as consumers on the Internet. This in turn leads us to view Internet Security issues as the Internet is evolving into a network that is used by millions of consumers and business. The Steeler's research analyzes trends in Internet security from its inception to how risks are associated with consumer and business usage. As you will see, the team objective was to view security concerns dealing with how security systems work in e-commerce organizations and markets. We also point out the concerns the public have with the government procedures in combating security breaches and what laws are implemented to protect the consumer. Security is the enabling technology for e-commerce and the primary defense against hackers, viruses, and other criminal activities. That's why it is important for the organization to dedicate time and money to confidently move ahead with Internet initiatives and gain competitive advantage while protecting vital corporate data, as well as to build consumer confidence.
