Feeling is Believing
You will need:
 About ten pairs of identical objects
 Drawstring bag
 Box

Arrange one of each pair of objects around the room on various low shelves, tables, window sills. Keep the others in a box which you have hidden behind the sofa or curtain.
Encourage your child to sit with you on the floor to play a guessing game.
Take the other half of the pair out of the box and place it secretly into the drawstring bag. Help your child feel it through the bag, perhaps shaking and rattling it too. Tell them that there is another one just the same somewhere in the room.
Can they guess what is in the bag and find another the same? Repeat for each object in your box. Provide as much help as is needed until they catch on to the task, and keep the game really fun. Open the bag after each guess and see if you were right!
Learning Goals
 Exploring and recognising objects through touch
 Responding to what they touch and feel.

Guessing Game
You will need:
 A pillow case or large sack
 Some pieces of card
 A pen or a pencil
Write down some different jobs on separate pieces of card. Let your child draw a picture clue to go with each job. (This could be a tool that is used by people doing this job or a hat they wear etc.).
Put the cards into a sack/pillow case. Take turns to pull out cards and do some actions to mime the job so that the other person can guess what it is. If your child has difficulty reading the cards, encourage them to look at the first letter of the word and to also look at the picture clue.
Some jobs can be quite difficult to mime so do use props to help and try these to start with.
