Africans Revealed In Europe
There have been multiple people of African decent that have helped make up British history. One African that made a negative contribution to British culture is William Davidson, whom was a co-conspirator in blowing up parliament. The reason that Davidson wanted to blow up parliament is because of the Peterloo Massacre. In the Peterloo Massacre 11 demonstrators were killed and over 500 were injured. Samuel Coleridge-Taylor is another African that contributed to British society. Samuel Coleridge Taylor. Taylor was a contribution to the music and liberal arts society of Britain. Ignatius Sancho is considered to be called "A man of Letters".He composed music, appeared on the stage, and entertained many famous figures of literary and artistic London. The first African we know of to vote in a British election, he wrote a large number of letters which were collected and published in 1782 after he died. Finally, Mary Seacole was the first black army nurse in Crimea. All of these individuals are not commonly known and have not been recognized as often as the white people that have made equal or less contributions to British society.When you put your hand mine.
