9/11

What's it like being a grade 10 student? Your carefree you're outgoing, you don't care about current events...What are current events anyways? That's what a typical 15-year-old would say. But not on September 11 2001. 7:58am what were you doing on that late summer Tuesday morning? I like almost all high school students was just arriving to school. You were probably getting ready for work. But 65 people aboard flight 175 from Boston to Los Angeles were taking off. A minute later 92 aboard flight 11 from Boston to Los Angeles were taking off. Business Trips, Leisure trips, visiting family. Who knows? 2 minutes after flight 11 flight 93 carrying 45 passengers took off from Newark for San Francisco. I was never aware of any of those flights but now stay in my mind as innocent people lost their lives. 8:46am flight 11 crashes into the north tower at the World Trade Center. 17 minutes later flight 175 crashes into the south tower at the World Trade Center. What were you thinking at that time? Is anything going to happen to Canada? Why would someone do this? Who did this? Why the twin towers? Do you want to cry? What to think the main question is why? 9:45 comes is it over? No, it's not flight 77 crashes into the pentagon. Your thoughts are still jumbled no questions are getting answered. You're confused. 10:05am South building collapses 23 minutes later the north building collapses. That's 7 million square feet dropping to the ground. Imagine.... Being in New York, shopping going to large building, visiting the statue of liberty and you turn around and see a huge dust ball come toward you. What would you do? Run into the closest store. Be swept away but the dust. You are puzzled you have no idea what to do. 3,000 people died in the World Trade Center on September 11 2001. Soon enough America was clear on who did this. It was Osama Bin Laden. Leader of Al Quada. Largest Terrorist group in the world. Today Canada and the United States are on the war against terrorism...
